Retreading & Repairing. Bandags application-specific retreads are just what you need to cut costs and keep your vehicles rolling. We offer a choice of over 275 best-in-class, premium retreads, more than any other supplier. So youre sure to find durable, reliable, quality retreads that meet your fleets grueling applications, at a lower price than new tires. But premium products are only half the battle. Our retreading service has been offered by trusted Bandag dealers for over 45 years. And for added convenience, you can get retreads from us. Youll get the same standardized, comprehensive service, too. Also, by combining our businesses, Bandag and Bridgestone Americas will better serve their customers by offering a comprehensive tire maintenance solution, with a complete line of Bandag retread and Bridgestone new truck tire offerings. Retreading is Recycling. After their treads are worn, many used tires are either land-filled or incinerated. In fact, over 280 million tires are discarded every year into landfills, tire piles, and roadsides. But why toss a tire when you can recycle it? By using our state-of-the-art technology, we produce quality retreads with just 30% of the energy used to make new tires. And we used less oil, too. It takes 22 gallons of oil to manufacture one new truck tire. Most of that oil is found in the casing, which is reused in the retread process. As a result, it takes only 7 gallons of oil to produce a quality retread. Which means no waste, and NO DETOURS". Which is much better for the environment.
